As the title indicates, 'Dwarf Nebula Processional March & Dwarf Nebula' is a piece in two parts. First is a complex instrumental tune in 3/4. The cheerful melody is backed by counterpoint and the whole thing feels like a leftover from the Uncle Meat sessions (which it probably is, since it was recorded at Apostolic Studios). After 45 seconds, the piece takes a sharp turn into musique concrète. This juxtaposition of melodious instrumental tune/abstract sound manipulation is typical of the material found on We're Only in It for the Money and Uncle Meat. 'Dwarf Nebula Processional March & Dwarf Nebula' was released on the 1970 LP Weasels Ripped My Flesh, which collected oddities recorded between 1967 and 1969. Recorded and assembled in the studio, it never got performed on-stage. Strangely, the track appears on Strictly Genteel, a compilation of Zappa's classical music.
