I heard a scary noise from the woods outside

So I went downstairs, creeping quietly
Tiptoed to the woods and hid behind a tree
There was a bunch of monsters dancing on the forest floor
Waving at the moonlight, making horrible roars

First they stomped the ground
Waved their arms around

So I left the safety of my hiding tree

And said, 'Do ya mind? Can you keep it down?

Then they all got quiet and they hung their giant heads
They said 'we're really sorry that we got you out of bed'

So we danced till the night got very late
And the music made the whole forest shake
They told me, 'kiddo, any time you feel afraid
