Lyrics:

This song is written by a good friend of mine

I'm waiting for my man

26 dollars in my hand

Up to Lexington, 125
Feeling sick and dirty, more dead than alive
I'm waiting for my man

Hey, white boy, what you doin' uptown?
Hey, white boy, you chasin' all the colored girls around?
Oh, pardon me sir, nothing's further from my mind
I'm just waiting on a dear, dear friend of mine
Waiting for my man
Here he comes, all dressed in black

Beat up shoes and a big straw hat

He never early, he always late
First thing you learn is that you always gotta wait
Are you waiting, waiting for your man

Up to a brownstone, up three flights of stairs
Everybody's pinned you, but nobody cares
He's got the works, he gives you sweet taste
And then he's got a split because you got no time to waste
Are waiting, waiting, waiting on your man

Baby, don't you holler, darlin', please don't bawl and shout
Feeling good, you know I'm gonna work it all out
Feeling good, feeling so fine
Until tomorrow, but that's just some other time
I'm waiting, waiting, waiting!
Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting!

Thank you very much
