Love Letters Ketty Lester Written by Victor Young and Edward Heyman
Peaked at # 5 in 1962 Revoyda Frierson's first and only Top 10 single, released under her stage- name 'Ketty Lester.' Ketty later commented that the song was recorded in a garage studio in LA, and, surprisingly, her vocals were recorded in a bathroom. Cover version of Dick Haymes' 1945 Top 15 pop hit. Later performed by Elvis as a Top 20 hit in 1966.
Love letters straight from your heart Keep us so near while apart I'm not alone in the night When I can have all the love you write
I memorize every line And I kiss the name that you sign And, darling, then I read again right from the start Love letters straight from your heart
I memorize every line And I kiss the name that you sign And, darlin', then I read again right from the start Love letters straight from your heart
